After last nights nap, I seemed to have left the tiredness behind, at least until this evening's nap! All of my main awake period (6:30am – 8:00pm) I felt really good, got a lot done, and felt really quite alert. I didn't really feel tired for my evening nap. I awoke from the nap with only a little bit of difficulty, but awoke pretty tired feeling, which has persisted since then.
So today marks thirty days of the biphasic sleep experiment. I haven't felt quite as good as I was hoping for at this point (I probably had unrealistic expectations from other biphasic blog posters about how great they feel), but not bad enough to make me stop just yet. I think the weekend sleeping-in has made me more tired, so I would like to continue with the experiment, but try to stick to the schedule straight through a weekend or two. I am also going only for 4.5 hours of sleep per day, so perhaps in a couple weeks if I am still feeling tired, I can up the amount to 6 hours and see if that makes a difference.
