Portland Beavers Baseball Stadium

Since Portland gained a Major League Soccer franchise, the city has been looking for a new stadium location for Portland's minor league baseball team, who will be displaced by the new soccer team.  A while back, I proposed locating the new stadium near OMSI, along the Willamette River, which actually received a fair bit of attention.  Since then, Portland has looked at various other locations, without any progress made.  Unfortunately (for the sake of getting other, more important things done), my mind keeps going on alternate locations.  The OMSI location would still be a fantastic and viable location near downtown, but perhaps an even more feasible location is along the banks of the Columbia, near the soon-to-be-built MAX line, plenty of parking, views of Mt. Hood, downtown Vancouver, and the Columbia River, and could potentially be expanded to MLB standards in the future.  

The site used to be home to a Doubletree Motel, but currently it sits vacant, begging for a better use...
