Oolah.net

I have been using web directories for quite some time to promote my websites, so I guess it was only a matter of time before I created my own. Of course the goal of mine is to be not just a listing of websites, but to create a real, valuable resource for those looking for information on a particular subject.

TrailsNW.com

TrailsNW is a long term project that initially just started as a collection of trails that I hiked. Over time, features have been added, other people have become interested, and it is now an active community of over 300 hikers and backpackers in the Pacific Northwest. The site allows visitors to post their own trail descriptions, photos, journals, and interact with other hikers.

PDX World Food

I’m hungry, and am increasingly interested in how foods around the world relate to eachother. Of course, I would love to travel the world and learn more, but for now, I have mapped restaurants in Portland on a world map so I can take a world tour of food without needing to fund a round-the-world adventure (not that I wouldn’t love to!).

MyWebAdviser

MyWebAdviser is an effort to provide information to small businesses on how to hire web designers, how to make the most of their websites, and offer tips on the entire web design process. Eventually this site will have additional features for finding qualified web designers.

EventsPDX.net

EventsPDX is a humble, initial attempt to create an automated system that collects a listing of current events. This project is still in the initial phases, and if it gains traction, I will continue to add features. Sure, there are other sites out there that have current activities listed, but how many of them were created by me? None, and that’s a problem!

Torumi

I have never been much of a game player, but building a website devoted to small, online games seemed like an interesting project. This website is still in the development stages, but I could see this becoming a fantastic project down the road. If I ever make any money off this site, I’ll have to spend more time playing games.

Hiking and Backpacking Tents

SunlightAlarmClock.com

A website about alarm clocks that mimic natural sunrises and sunsets.

VoidJumping.com PortableCoffeePress.com

BeerWall.net

Beer Stuff!

About

I like to create things. Lots of things. Because the web provides an easy and quick means of creation, I like to experiment with websites and ideas online. My sites start out simple, elemental, bare, crude; but if one seems to catch on, catch some attention, or just has too much potential to let go, I will continue to work and develop the site.

io9 is an inventory of these sites. A place where I can post an ever-changing, ever-flowing stream of ideas. A place where I can test a concept, and see if it catches steam.
